Paul J. Finnegan is currently Co-President of Madison Dearborn Partners. Prior to co-founding MDP, Mr. Finnegan was with First Chicago Venture Capital for ten years. Previously, he held a variety of marketing positions in the publishing industry, both in the United States and in Southeast Asia. Mr. Finnegan has more than 24 years of experience in private equity investing with a particular focus on investments in the communications industry. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of iplan, LLC and Rural Cellular Corporation. Mr. Finnegan is President of the Harvard Alumni Association and the Chairman of the Board of Teach for America in Chicago. He is also a member of the Board of Dean's Advisors at the Harvard Business School and the Leadership Council of the Harvard School of Public Health. Mr Finnegan holds A.B. and M.B.A. degrees from Harvard University.
