Prior to starting at SOM this past fall, Irwin worked at Northern Trust in Chicago where he focused on using finance and technology to help manage the firm's investment management and investment servicing businesses. He has served as a Young Professionals Board Member for the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Treasurer of Northern Trust Company's Political Action Committee, head of the Illinois Alumni Chapter for the Oxford University Society, and a delegate to the Atlantik-Brücke’s annual German-American Young Leader’s Conference. He holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Florida and an MA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University.
