Shifting Real Estate Investment Strategies:
When will the U.S. bubble burst?  How should investors navigate the tenuous global market as developing economies strengthen and open their real estate markets to foreign investments.  The Shifting Real Estate Investment Strategies will discuss the changing nature of the real estate market given the expected returns offered from a larger pool of potential investments.

Secondary Transactions, an Alternate Exit:
Investors’ desire for liquidity in their private equity investments has precipitated an active secondary market for partnership interests in these funds. This panel will discuss the growing secondary market as this new dynamic presents potential opportunities to those who until recently were not able to invest in private equity because of liquidity constraints. Many recent transactions demonstrate this new market dynamic including, AIG’s $1.4BN purchase of interests in 150 funds from Dresdner and Lexington Partners and AlpInvest’s $850 MM purchase of stakes in 46 funds from DPL Inc.
