Mr. Qian currently is a vice president at New Access Capital Co. to assist emerging Chinese companies in obtaining capital through private equity, venture capital, and mergers &acquisitions. He is based in Shanghai and is responsible for deal sourcing and execution. He has advised a leading internet media company in China to raise $12 million from international funds. Before he joined New Access, Jeff was a senior consultant at Defined Health Company, a boutique healthcare consulting firm based in New Jersey. He managed commercial evaluation group at Defined Health to advise global clients including six of ten largest pharmaceutical and biotech companies on strategic consulting, cross-licensing and M&A opportunity assessment and transaction. Before joining Defined Health, Jeff was the corporate business development manager at Eastman Chemical Company, with responsibility for Eastman’s China strategy and identifying potential collaboration and licensing opportunities for the company’s proprietary technologies.

Jeff received his MBA from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from Shanghai Second Medical School in China. Jeff also has a Master of Science degree from Oklahoma State University majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
