Mr. Columbus is Senior Vice President of HDG Mansur and is Fund Administrator for the HSBC Amanah Global Properties Income Fund (“The Fund”), jointly sponsored by HDG Mansur and HSBC. Mr. Columbus joined HDG Mansur in March 2004 with 30 years of corporate and structured finance experience. Formerly, Mr. Columbus was head of Real Estate Investment Banking for HSBC Securities (USA) where he was instrumental in the creation of the Fund, an open ended real estate investment vehicle with assets exceeding $1.25 billion as of September 30th, 2005.

Prior to HSBC, he served for nine years as Managing Director of Structured Finance for Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (WestLB) in New York, where he was responsible for the bank’s Real Estate Finance, Project Finance, Securitization, Leveraged Capital and advisory businesses. Mr. Columbus began his banking career at Chase Manhattan Bank, N.A. where as a Managing Director, he helped build over his 20-year tenure the bank’s investment banking effort in private placements, tax exempt financing, and capital markets.

Mr. Columbus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters Business Administration degree from New York University School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
