Mr. Aziz is a Managing Director in the Financial Sponsors Group at UBS in New York. Mr. Aziz joined Dillon Read & Co., one of UBS Investment Bank’s predecessor firms, in 1993. Prior to joining Dillon Read, he was an Executive Vice President and Managing Director at Smith Barney and was responsible for the firm’s General Banking Group. He has been associated with First Boston Corporation and has been President of the US merchant banking operations of Guinness Peat Plc. During his twenty-seven years in investment banking, Mr. Aziz has been involved in a variety of financing and advisory transactions. Most recently, Mr. Aziz has been associated with transactions in the general industrial, consumer, transportation, leisure and telecommunication sectors. He has served on several boards of directors, including Northwest Airlines and Cellular Information Systems. He currently serves on The Yale Development Board and the President’s Council for International Activities at Yale University. Mr. Aziz is a graduate of Yale College and received his M.B.A. from Harvard University.
