Stan Garstka is Professor in the Practice of Management and Deputy Dean at the Yale School of Management. He is also Faculty Director of the Partnership on Nonprofit Ventures. He received his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University and was a member of the faculty at the University of Chicago before coming to Yale.

Professor Garstka is a financial accountant with interests in the bankruptcy process, the restructuring of troubled companies and contemporary issues in accounting. He has served on several for-profit and non-profit boards and is a consultant in the general area of accounting methods and valuation.
