Biography
Mr. Jinno joined JPMorgan Partners (JPMP) Asia Pte. Ltd. in 2001. J.P. Morgan Partners is a global private equity organization that invests in private and public companies worldwide. J.P. Morgan Partners Asia is the advisor to the $US1.1 billion Asia Opportunity Fund, one of the largest private equity funds focused on Asia. Prior to joining the JPMP Tokyo office, Mr. Jinno led Morgan Stanley's Special Situations Group, which invested in distressed loans from Japanese financial institutions and restructured financially troubled companies in Japan. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Jinno was a Vice President responsible for investment banking coverage of Japanese financial institutions at Morgan Stanley. Mr. Jinno also worked in various areas of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs in New York and Tokyo, with assignments in corporate finance, M&A and capital markets. In addition, Mr. Jinno worked for Koa Oil with responsibility for labor management and crude oil trading for six years. He serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Rhythm Corporation, a portfolio company of JPMP. He is a Managing Director of the Japanese Association of Turnaround Professionals.
