Donald Reid Partner Vik Brothers International

Mr. Reid is a partner of Vik Brothers International, a private investor group based in the Principality of Monaco and Greenwich, Connecticut. Vik Brothers has numerous investments in technology, real estate, light manufacturing, natural resources (mining & timber), bioscience, transportation, hospitality and media.

Its portfolio includes investments in the US, EU and Australia as well as the developing world such as the former Soviet Union, Argentina, Uruguay and China. Mr. Reid has been associated with Vik Brothers and its affiliates since 2000 and he is responsible for the management and origination of new private equity ventures.

Mr. Reid has spent most of his career in the financial services industry. From 1997 to 2000, Mr. Reid was Managing Director and Co-Head of Morgan Stanley’s Energy Group, based in New York City where he was responsible for worldwide business development. Prior to Morgan Stanley, Mr. Reid spent ten years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as a senior banker in New York and London, where he focused on business development for European, American and Canadian industrial and energy companies.

Throughout his career, Mr. Reid has advised numerous Fortune 250 corporations and sovereign governments on corporate and asset strategy, mergers, acquisitions, privatizations and divestitures. He has also advised numerous corporate and government clients on all aspects of debt and equity capital formation including public offerings, private placements, project financing and syndicated loans. Mr. Reid is a graduate of York University, Toronto, Canada where he received his Honors BA in Economics.
